Notice of Unauthorized "Spam" Emails Regarding Fictitious Hearings

The Clerk's Office has received numerous inquiries from individuals who have received "spam" emails directing them to appear for a court hearing in San Francisco. These emails, a sample of which is below in blue text, were not generated by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and do not appear to contain accurate information about actual court hearings. Any attachments to these emails may contain viruses or other malware. 

If you have questions about a hearing scheduled in a case pending in this Court, please contact the courtroom deputy for the judge assigned to the case.

The copy of the court notice is attached to this letter. Please, read it thoroughly.

Note: If you do not attend the hearing the judge may hear the case in your absence.
