Pro se filers may now register to become users of the court’s Electronic Case Filing (ECF) system and file documents electronically without first obtaining a judge’s permission. To learn more about the ECF system and to register for e-filing, see E-filing Self-Registration for Pro Se Litigants.

This change was made through General Order 72-3, which suspended until further notice the requirement under Civil Local Rule 5-1(b) that a pro se party must request permission from the assigned judge to use the court’s Electronic Case Filing (ECF) system.
