The Northern District is excited to announce that Tamara Lange has been selected as the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program Director for the United States District Court, Northern District of California.  Ms. Lange will fill a position held by Howard Herman, who will retire in March 2020 after serving almost 25 years as the ADR Program Counsel and then Program Director.

Ms. Lange brings nearly 25 years of mediation and litigation experience to her new role as Program Director.  For the past 5 years, she has worked alongside Mr. Herman as the ADR Attorney and Mediator for the Northern District, mediating cases, serving as a neutral evaluator, and providing training and supervision for attorneys on the court’s mediation panels.  In her new role as Program Director, Ms. Lange will oversee all operations of the Northern District’s ADR Program.

Chief Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton, on behalf of the entire Northern District, extends her warmest congratulations to Ms. Lange on her new position.
