After more than 11 years of service on the bench as an Active District Judge, the Hon. Edward J. Davila has announced his intention to take senior status, effective upon confirmation of his successor. Judge Davila will continue to support the Northern District of California and will carry a caseload as a Senior District Judge. Judge Davila will also remain active in court governance and judicial administration, and will continue his work as an advisory board member to the Center for Litigation and Courts at UC Law San Francisco.
