Seeking Public Comment on Proposed Changes to Civil Local Rules 3-12 and 3-15

The Judges of the United States District Court, Northern District of California, have approved proposed substantive modifications to Civil Local Rules 3-12 and 3-15. Pursuant to Civil L.R. 83-2(b), public comments on the proposed modification may be submitted to media@cand.uscourts.gov until Monday, September 22, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. PDT.

In proposed amendments to 3-12, the Court changes the process for alerting the Court to the possibility that cases should be consolidated.

In 3-15, the court makes changes to disclosures that must be provided to the Court upon first appearance of a party in a case.
