Sealed Document Access

The judiciary has announced new procedures governing the management and access to sealed documents. Under these procedures, sealed documents will continue to be filed in CM/ECF using this Court’s existing practices.  Consistent with current practice:

  • Sealed documents filed in CM/ECF are not electronically accessible or viewable.
  • Service of sealed documents must continue to be made outside of CM/ECF, in accordance with the Federal Rules of Procedure.
  • The Court will continue to serve sealed orders and court notices either by secure electronic means or by mail.

Please note that restricted access documents from Probation and Pretrial Services Offices, which were previously accessible through CM/ECF, must now be obtained directly from those offices.
