About This Case
Plaintiffs in this case, adults formerly incarcerated at the federal facility known as FCI Dublin, allege systemic sexual abuse at the hands of multiple facility staff members. Plaintiffs seek damages stemming therefrom, and have named several individual staff members in addition to various federal agencies charged with oversight of federal prisons. In March 2024, the Court appointed a special master to ensure defendants’ compliance with the Court’s orders. In April, the federal Bureau of Prisons closed the facility, and the Court subsequently ruled that its monitoring of the safety of adults in custody formerly at FCI Dublin remained necessary. That oversight remains ongoing.
