A recent revision to Civil Local Rule 77-3 gives judges discretion to authorize remote public access by Zoom for civil matters (excluding jury trials). Members of the public or the media can request Zoom access to civil proceedings held before any judge of the court.
Matters scheduled by the judge to take place entirely remotely on Zoom (for example, many case management conferences) can typically be accessed by the public without need for separate request. To join a proceeding already scheduled to occur by Zoom, simply click on the Zoom webinar link found on each judge’s webpage.

Revised Civil Local Rule 77-3 is effective as of May 1, 2024.
