About the Position
The Honorable Trina L. Thompson is accepting applications for a law clerk for the term of May 2026–November 2027. Law clerks work collaboratively with co-clerks, externs, and the Judge. Law Clerks oversee the electronic court docket, review motions, draft orders, prepare for hearings and trials, and address emergency filings.
Applicants with at least a year of prior litigation experience in litigation practice and/or a federal clerkship are preferred. Applicants should possess a strong academic record; excellent research, writing, and communications skills; the ability to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment while always exhibiting kindness and integrity; a strong work ethic; and dedication to the fair and equal administration of justice.
Priority cut-off date is April 30, 2026. Interviews may be conducted before the priority cut-off date. Early application is to your advantage.
